Lots of Sawdust...

...but no results. Worked on the instrument panel top and side covers, but don't have anything to show for it. The pieces just don't seem to fit well. They seem undersize, though they match the plans exactly. Maybe the plans are wrong? The side covers seem to be about 1/8" too narrow, while the top cover is grossly undersize - perhaps 3/8". I started to rework the top cover, fitting it to the existing instrument panel rather than following the plans, but then decided I was too tired, and too likely to make a mistake.

Cutting pieces

Cut out the windshield formers and rear fuselage reinforcement. Sanded the latter to the desired profile.

Putting the pieces together

The first screws were put in tonight, along with a healthy dose of glue. Attached the nose plate, bearing support, windshield support, and instrument panel. The diagonal measurements came out identically, so that's a good sign that things are aligning properly. Now I just need to get my router back from my neighbor so I can get the tail assembly done.
