Lots of Sanding
I sanded the windshield formers into their proper contours. That wasn't quite enough sanding, so I cut out the landing gear doors and sanded the hell out of them until they had some fetching tapered edges.

As I wrote last night, I'm reworking the instrument panel top and side covers so they actually fit. With much relief, I finished them tonight - all of the non-square cuts, all of the 45 degree bevels, all of the headaches. I attached two of the three pieces to the fuselage and clamped them down tight. Tomorrow night I'll glue the third piece in place and start sanding the transitions between the pieces.
Back in December, I had some problems with the fit of the instrument panel top and side covers. Tonight I finally got around to reworking these pieces. The top cover is done; hopefully I'll get to the side covers in the next day or two.
I dropped off the train table at my friend's home today. His son wasn't quite sure what to make of it, but he seemed to understand that toys went on top of it.
Started working on the wings: cut them out, drilled pilot holes, and rounded-over the edges.
